My friend Liz gave me some yarn to keep working on the pigeon, because she wanted to see how he turned out. I have since made an eye and a beak, and I guess it does look more like a pigeon than it did.
And I’m still going to finish it. But this really is a rough draft of a piece. There are a lot of things I’d do differently. His eyes should probably look back/upward instead of forward/down, his beak and wing aren’t great at all, and he needs an actual butt. And I think he needs to be a bluish-gray worsted, even though this shiny green baby yarn ain’t bad.
At any rate, the point of this piece was to learn, so the next one would be awesome. And I think I’ve already accomplished that.
